Agenza Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the TrueEarsWindows desktop application ("the Software"), how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

Audio Data (Microphone)

What we collect: When you use the dictation feature, the Software captures audio from your microphone.

How we use it: Audio is processed in-memory and sent to the third-party speech-to-text service you have configured (using your own API key) for transcription.

Storage: Audio is NOT stored on your device or our servers. It is processed in real time and discarded immediately after transcription.

Clipboard Content

What we collect: When you use the select-to-transform feature, the Software reads text from your clipboard.

How we use it: The selected text is sent to your configured AI service for transformation.

Storage: Clipboard content is NOT stored. It is read only when you initiate the feature and discarded after processing.

Active Window Information

What we collect: The Software detects which application window is currently active to provide context-aware formatting.

Storage: Active window information is cached temporarily during your session and never persisted.

Installed Applications

What we collect: The Software scans for installed applications to enable app-specific profiles.

Storage: This information is cached locally on your device only and never transmitted to us.

API Keys

What you provide: Your own API keys for speech-to-text and AI services.

How we store them: API keys are stored locally on your device using secure storage. They are NEVER transmitted to our servers.

Licence Verification

What we collect: If you have purchased a Supporter Licence, the Software contacts our licence server to verify your licence status on activation.

What is sent: Only your licence key and an anonymous device identifier. No personal information, audio, or content is transmitted.

Storage: Licence status is cached locally. We do not store your device identifier beyond the verification request.

2. Payments & Paddle (Merchant of Record)

Purchases of the TrueEars Supporter Licence are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, your payment details (name, email, card information, billing address) are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.

Paddle may use your information to process your payment, issue receipts, manage refunds, and comply with tax and legal obligations. Please review Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

3. Third-Party Speech-to-Text Services

Your audio and text data may be sent to the following third-party services, depending on your configuration:

Groq: Speech-to-text transcription
OpenAI: Speech-to-text or text transformation
Anthropic: Text transformation
Other LLM providers you choose to configure

These services are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We have no control over and take no responsibility for data handling by these providers.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect personal identification information through the Software
We do NOT collect usage analytics or telemetry from the Software
We do NOT store your audio recordings
We do NOT have access to your API keys
We do NOT track your transcription history

5. Data Security

API keys are stored using secure local storage mechanisms
No audio or transcription data is transmitted to our servers
All connections to third-party services use encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) channels

6. Your Rights

Access: Review what data the Software stores locally on your device
Delete: Uninstall the Software to remove all locally stored data
Control: Choose which features (microphone, clipboard) to enable

7. Children's Privacy

The Software is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above.
